What kind of producer am I?

I primarily make electronic music, mostly instrumental but occasionally doing vocals as well. The majority of my production is done in the box on Ableton, which I think is definitely key to my sound but I do want to expand outside of that. I make a lot of different styles of music for fun but I’d say the things I’m finishing and releasing would be found in the same area of a record store as artists such as Aphex Twin, Brian Eno and Sora. Currently, the thing I’m seeking the most in music production is how to make really naturalistic electronic music (like Björk and Arca’s Utopia). Besides this, my main learning focus at the minute is the live performance aspect of electronic music, so thats definitely what I’m hoping to improve on for my first year because I’d like to start doing shows. Also I’m interested in learning live electronic music so I can start composing in that way too; to give myself a new way of creating that feels like there’s less between the music and myself. An artist who has inspired me to feel this way is Nala Sinephro. Sinephro is an artists who plays harp and modular synth alongside a drummer, a sax player and a keys/synth bass player. Her music is a mixture of futuristic ambient and spiritual jazz that could be likened to someone Pharaoh Sanders. You can tell from listening to the music that not much (if any) is composed on a DAW. I find it incredibly organic and so human at the same time as being futuristic, which is something I really want to tap into.
